What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple
Syndication) is a standard format that allows you to easily receive new or
updated Web content , including blogs, news articles, podcasts, and other
information that's important to you, in one simple location (via an RSS
reader). Once you’ve subscribed to an RSS Feed, it will allow you get the
information that you want without having to actually visit the Web sites
you’ve subscribed to.
What is an RSS Reader?
An RSS reader is a small software program that automatically collects and
displays the latest headlines added to RSS feeds. These readers can be
accessed for free via some newer versions of Web browsers or downloadable
applications.

How do I Subscribe to RSS
Feeds?
Once you have installed an RSS reader, follow the subscription instructions
for that particular reader (usually located in the help section).
Generally,
you can follow the one of the processes listed below to subscribe to an RSS
Feed:
Click on the hyperlink or RSS
Feed icon of the feed that you want to subscribe to. For Example:
The Feed may open in a
readable format (if you are using a built in reader in a Web browser).

[Feed is viewable in
Web browser with built-in reader]
If it does open in a
readable format, you will still need to subscribe to it within the Web
browser.

The Feed may also open
in a raw XML format which is not easily readable.

[Feed is not easily
viewable in Web browser because of no built-in reader]
If it is not easily readable, then you will need to copy the URL (Web
address) from the Web browser and paste it into the subscription section of
your reader and then follow the prompts.
